Back home

Just got back from visiting the folks and friends up in Idaho. All I can say is that the shelves in the sporting goods stores up there are bare also. I could not find the powder I needed nor the primers, brass and bullets. Did manage to purchase some boxes of 45-70 ammo since they are cheaper up there than here in this town. As of right now I am mainly concerned about stocking up on supplies for the Marlin Guide gun that I own that is in 45-70 since that is the weapon I will use when the crap hits the fan. I kinda wish that I have purchased an M-14 when they were still available or even a SKS or AK when they were cheaper. Not worth crying over spilled milk so I will work with what I got. I have lots of surplus rifles but would not trust my life with them since I mainly bought them for my personal museum. If push come to shove I would use them until the limited amount of ammo I have for them is out. OH! just when I thought I had some spare cash in the pocket the tax man a taketh, can never get ahead. Oh but wait I do not have to pay my electric bill for like the next ten months since earlier last year I had to give them a 250.00 deposit to put the power in my name and got a statement today that said they gave me back the deposit as credit for my account and my total monthly bill is less than twenty bucks so oh yeah I am gonna get crunk.

Going north

Getting ready to take off for the weekend up to North Idaho to visit the folks and pull the old Ford truck out of hibernation and get it ready for spring. Also gonna go see my arms dealer and shoot the shit with him then hopefully play with the 10/22 Ruger target rifle I had built and see how it does. I am also looking forward to all the crazy ass drivers on the road up there since everyone up in North Idaho is from like So Cal. These drivers will make every effort to pass you then cut in front of you only to slam on the brakes and make a right turn into the parking lot of some fast food joint, what the fuck. Why pass me then cut in front just to make a right turn? just pull in behind me then make the right turn. Then you got the A-holes who ride your ass while talking on the cell phone with fucking blue tooth and drinking a god damn designer coffee that they got from one of the bazillion little coffee stands in town while trying to maneuver the USS Ford Explorer. I drive a big truck and I still get pushed over on the road usually by some rich kids whose parents bought them one of those brand new big diesel trucks that have every option known to man all sitting on 49 inch tires while doing all of the mentioned above.

Enough venting for now. I am off like a prom dress and hopefully a relaxing weekend with family.

Shopping and Inventory check

Just got back from the Tri-cities. Earlier today I decided to take a trip up there to get some reloading supplies and also took a buddy with me since he wanted to go and try to see if he could get a deal on some 40 S&W for his handgun. When we got to the Sportmans Warehouse it seems that nothing has changed since the last time I was there. The shelves are still bare, did not find any of the stuff I needed for reloading (thank god I stockpiled a year ago on most of this stuff) except for some primers which I quickly snatched up. They had almost no empty brass for reloading which is less than last time. As for my buddy he found some good deals on his 40 S&W and some shotgun shells. The trip was not a total waste after all. After posting this I will continue my inventory check on ammo. For now the only ammo I intend to buy is 45-70 shot gun shells and 22lr since that is my most used stuff and I have the dies for the 45-70 and due to the size and variety of the collection it would be a logistical nightmare to stock a ton of ammo for every type I own. I actually have a few hundred rounds for each rifle and that takes up space in my small pad (I hope there is never a fire).

The Babble News

Well, sold the jeep for some duckets and now I can go buy that K31 Swiss that I have been wanting to get. Plus pay off my taxes, you would think that all of the money that was taken out of each paycheck would cover the taxes, but no not me. The average taken out of each paycheck when working for the railroad is about three to four hundred (that is only fed and state) not including the health care and union dues and ..... What is taken out of each paycheck could be someone Else's paycheck, so I basically work for two people. I have friends that never had a legitimate job and never filed for taxes and paid for everything cash. People used to tell them that they have no future and no retirement and will live in a cardboard box and it is kind of funny since some of the people who told them this are now living in or out of boxes. Did I mention that the friends who never filed taxes are healthier and look alot younger for their age since there is no stress in their lives. I asked them if the Government ever tries to come after them and they would say no since they have basically never been on the grid, NICE.

More news, Looks like more states are following the parade of other states on the sovereignty issue and basically giving the finger to the feds. Obama has his stimulus plan all eleven hundred pages of it, makes you wonder what is in all of that fine print. And the children in my town have the average IQ of a tree frog. Not kidding folks, thanks to the liberal education that is provided to them they are now equal to or below that of children in war torn third world under developed countries. These kids could not point out Oregon on a map let alone knowing the history of the state that they live in. When I was a child it was a must that you know the history of the state and its founders and what the state flag meant and what was the state flower and gem. This new generation is a wet dream for China since those dudes will no longer have to study as hard to outsmart them in the future job market. Plus I also voted no on a local bill for Spanish to be used as a primary language in public schools in the area since these immigrant kids and their families are being assholes and think we have to bend over and cater to them so learning English is not a concern for them (the bill did not pass). Where I grew up and this still implies there (North Idaho) you must speak English or you will not survive. If you go up to billy bob and try to ask for a job and all you speak is Spanish then you are shit out of luck, try to ask for directions you are shit out of luck, try to ask the cashier at the store about something you are shit out of luck, reading road signs you are shit out of luck, nobody will cater to you up there and that is a fact.

Ouch...

Went to the gym early this morning before the beautiful people showed up and did my thing and boy do I hurt. Just because the economy is going to shit does not mean that I should allow myself to go that same way to. Besides the gym is free since I work or usually work for the railroad. Thank you Uncle Pete.

States 10 Feds 0

All I can say is "way to go states!". Look at this I mean now ten states and more to come are recognizing the tenth amendment and are doing something about it. What am I writing about you wonder, well basically the states are fed up with the feds getting their greasy fingers involved in state level business and laws. According to the constitution the federal government has few rights and the states are dealt the rest to deal with its residents. And I think the federal government for the first time in a long time is shaken by this. Now it is like watching a game of chess since the states made the second move and the first being the feds taking too much power for themselves, what will the feds do in response to this? I will leave it up to your imagination on this one. But why you ask why are the states doing this, defying the government. Little one they are not defying the government, but practicing their rights under this thing called the Constitution. The states are also realizing that they are the only ones that can somewhat save this country since obviously the federal government is corrupt and bought out by foreign banks, did you ever think that you would see some bailout money. People are still losing their homes due to foreclosure and this big bailout was to help prevent people from losing their homes. Plus if you boil it down to a simple form this is all about CONTROL. Not state control, but federal CONTROL.

If the federal government can control every aspect of your life then they win. What you want to have kids then you need to call the government, inherited some prime real estate you need to call the government to see if they want it first, bought some cattle for your ranch then you need to call the government to tax them and the list can go on forever. If it was up to the feds you would not be allowed to take road trips between states without the proper papers or you can not own land unless you work for the feds or are super rich and the rest of us would have to live in small apartments for the rest of our lives.

The states see this coming and are putting their foots down and saying enough is enough. And the people are backing them up. You should look all this up online and see for yourself, read what are in these bills that the states are writing in response to the tenth amendment.

Mo money.

Tomorrow I will be going to see the tax man and find out how much the gov is going to give back to me this year. I am hoping for a decent amount since there are a few rifles I want to add to the already big collection. And I think if I keep waiting too much longer that there will be no more guns left to buy. Since the One became president gun sales have gone through the roof and beyond, hell even people who you never thought would be caught dead in a gun shop are buying these things like crazy. It is funny to watch nature loving wannabe hippies wearing all that funky hippie clothing (tie died shirts and hemp shorts) trying to buy some sort of rifle like an AR or AK. I thought I have seen everything, but was wrong. We as the public are going to see alot more things in the very near future. It is going to be a very grim year.
