Deadwood.

Was at friends house watching a few episodes of HBO's Deadwood and it got late so I said see ya and headed to the supermarket to pick up some items for dinner and let me tell you, after watching deadwood you see people in a totally different way. Cashier was like "I see you are having mac and cheese for dinner" and I wanted to say "It must be obvious day at camp stupid you dumb cunt" but I actually told her nicely that I am having mac and cheese for dinner. Wow that deadwood show can really make you into a socially unacceptable person in a heartbeat I mean anyone you run into is either a cocksucker, bitch, fucker, asshole and so forth. I will have to head back over and watch some more.

web gear.

Finally the weather here in eastern Oregon is starting to look like spring so depression go away. I have been building my tactical web belt for my rifle and it's going along just fine. The only problem I see for now is the amount of ammo I can carry on the belt since so far I have two ammo pouches on the belt and they hold fourteen rounds each and one canteen and one sack that hangs off the belt that I keep my first aid, cleaning kit and other odds and ends in. I know I can add a few more ammo pouches to the belt, but due to the heavy weight of the ammo I can see the belt wanting to head south. The big problem is the size of the ammo I use which is 45-70 which feeds my Marlin guide gun. I should 've bought a M1A, AR15, SKS, AK when I had the chance, but didn't since I am obsessed with older surplus arms and older Winchesters. Another problem is that I live in a small town with one gun / pawnshop and he has the monopoly. I am not going to pay two thousand dollars for a used AR15 that he has. So I am sticking with the 45-70 since it worked good for the army before why not again. So it is kinda back to the drawing board for the tactical gear if I want to add more ammo, but what I have now is better than nothing. And the army surplus store in town has everything but surplus looks like I am headed back out into the Internet for some shopping. What I really need is one of those suspenders that attaches to the web belt to help take the load off I think it's called ALICE gear, will find out though. Who knows maybe I will find a better set up than what I have.

Driving my life away

Well, today was kind of productive. I finally finished updating my resume which was not actually that hard just time consuming and then interviewing truckers on why they like their job and all that. Ever since getting furloughed from the railroad (laid off) most of the jobs in this area require a Class A CDL. So off I went to the DMV and slapped some money down and took the written test and passed oh I am sorry was I supposed to study for that thing. Started thinking to myself how easy it is to get the CDL, WRONG! Next I needed a truck to take the driving test in and well I do not know anybody with a big rig sitting in the driveway for me to use and I do not have an employer who has a truck for me to use since the employers want you to have it before they hire you. Then the state stepped in and told me they would give me a grant to go to school and get the CDL if I just complete all the required information. How hard could that be.

The stack of paper is about as thick as the bailout bill and I have to write essays on why I want to drive trucks and also go out and interview truckers on how they like their job, mom I need help with my home work. So I talked to one trucker and he told me about all the crazy stuff that happens on the road and invited me to travel with him across the U.S. to see if I would like it and he would show me what a reefer is. I am hoping that he is talking about the refrigerated trailers or this could be the start of a Cheech and Chong movie. I told him nicely that I do not plan on doing cross country trucking just local and thank him for the invite. Only a couple more interviews to go and then the packet is almost done then I can jam gears like the best of them. Unknown to the state I have previous experience driving eighteen wheeler since I had to quickly learn to drive one for harvest season last September, did really good to since I'm still above ground. Enough trucker talk for one evening, this is Pinto Bean out.

ammo, speed dating, sovereignty

Spent most of the day today running around town and gathering 22lr ammo since it is flying off the shelves as if the stuff had wings. Also found a table to set up my reloading press on so soon I should be able to load some of that 45-70 brass I have stashed away. I Did find a nice Springfield armory 45acp handgun too. It is 489 duckets and new in the box have been thinking about getting it since the concealed weapons course I want to take requires a handgun and I need a sidearm anyways.

Oh and speed dating has hit the local bar in my small town. Quite a few people showed up for this event as I did not know about it until it was almost over, but made it just in time to see all of the fine dressed cougars leaving. My buddies girlfriend told me about it, basically she was telling me in a nice way to quit hanging out at their house and get a life. So I have been dieting and working out at the gym the last few days getting ready for the next one. I have this fear that most of the dudes from work will show up and you would think that it is a union meeting rather than speed dating. "Are you fucking retarded?" "Do you want me to be fucking retarded".

And finally my state of Oregon has decided to try to jump it's liberal ass (only Portland area is liberal the rest is normal)on the state sovereignty wagon. So I guess we are up to thirty states so far and it is only two months into the year and when this whole thing started about two months ago with six states the professional analyst thought it would take up to a year for the list to get up to twenty states, WRONG AGAIN SUCKO! what they forgot to take in account for is how the Feds are throwing money around like some rich ass pimps and selling out the country to other countries and foreign banks and that the states have had enough of this federal bitch slappin' and are basically putting the foot up the feds asses.
