Back home
Just got back from visiting the folks and friends up in Idaho. All I can say is that the shelves in the sporting goods stores up there are bare also. I could not find the powder I needed nor the primers, brass and bullets. Did manage to purchase some boxes of 45-70 ammo since they are cheaper up there than here in this town. As of right now I am mainly concerned about stocking up on supplies for the Marlin Guide gun that I own that is in 45-70 since that is the weapon I will use when the crap hits the fan. I kinda wish that I have purchased an M-14 when they were still available or even a SKS or AK when they were cheaper. Not worth crying over spilled milk so I will work with what I got. I have lots of surplus rifles but would not trust my life with them since I mainly bought them for my personal museum. If push come to shove I would use them until the limited amount of ammo I have for them is out. OH! just when I thought I had some spare cash in the pocket the tax man a taketh, can never get ahead. Oh but wait I do not have to pay my electric bill for like the next ten months since earlier last year I had to give them a 250.00 deposit to put the power in my name and got a statement today that said they gave me back the deposit as credit for my account and my total monthly bill is less than twenty bucks so oh yeah I am gonna get crunk.
